PS3: Firmware v2.60 coming soon for Playstation 3

There will soon be a firmware update for Playstation 3 according to Playstation.blog. The new version vil be 2.60.

New and updated features:

  • A new Photo Gallery application
  • Guest access to PlayStation Store – This enables non-PlayStation Network members to browse through the storefront to check out the latest games, demos, videos, etc.
  • DivX 3.11 support – Videos in this format can now be played on PS3.

Playstation.blog have also made a video preview of the new firmware update.
